The website is part of the larger FireStatLA initiative whose purpose is to evaluate and quantify the performance of fire and ems units, and fulfill Mayor Garcetti’s back to basics agenda.

Lightray announces the launch of a new website for the Exceptional Children’s Foundation (ECF), a Los Angeles based non-profit dedicated to providing the highest quality services for children and adults who are challenged with developmental, learning, and emotional disabilities. This almost seventy year-old organization worked with Lightray to revamp the website with a modern look and feel that is mobile-responsive and easy to use for ECF’s wide audience base.
The mission of Venice Beach based Open Temple is to inspire individuals and families towards a life of Jewish curiosity, creativity and critical thought and to re-enchant and reinvigorate our human potential towards more meaningful, connected and purposeful lives. When they tapped Lightray for a site redesign it was of paramount importance to communicate the welcoming and creative atmosphere Open Temple works so hard to foster.
For the 2012 holiday season Children’s Action Network launched SantaCAN—a unique gift drive for Los Angeles foster youth. Each child was asked to create a wish list to ensure these special children received their most wished for gift. Lightray was delighted to be a part of such a heart warming campaign.
California wetlands are highly threatened: only 10% of it’s original wetlands remain today. It was a pleasure to work with the Friends of Ballona Wetlands to create a site where this non profit could raise funds, coordinate volunteers and educate the public.
SANTA MONICA, CA – Lightray announces the launch of a new website for The Rape Foundation (www.therapefoundation.org.) The Rape Foundation supports treatment, prevention, and education with state-of-the-art, comprehensive care for rape victims. Donations support The Rape Treatment Center, Stuart House, and Verna Harrah Sexual Assault Examination Clinic operated out of Santa Monica-UCLA Medical Center.
Lightray was tapped to help the Foundation create their first website, having operated since 1989 the organization felt it was time to make their mission known to a broader audience. Having previously designed the website for The Rape Treatment Center, TRF founder Gail Abarbanel reached out to Lightray to help craft their message with sensitivity and care so it would translate appropriately in the web medium. We are honored to work with them, and support their efforts.

Lightray announces the phase I launch of a new website for NEW DIRECTIONS, a Los Angeles based non-profit working directly with Veterans from their VA headquarters addressing issues of homelessness, drug addiction, ptsd, and job retraining to name a few. Lightray first began work with the organization over 6 years ago, and in a continued effort to reach more veterans and broaden their donor base – once again the site has been revamped to keep pace with the times.
“There was a need to hammer home to potential donors how extensive the challenges are for returning Veterans. As a first step, we overhauled the New Directions homepage, ensuring that if a potential donor goes no further, at that first glance, they ‘get it.’ ” says Jessica Thompson of Lightray.
